We are a group of Charlotte Mason home educators and students of all ages that meet every Friday at 10am at various trails and parks in the Coeur d’Alene, ID area (and we also have a group that meets in the Spokane, WA area too) to explore nature together. We read through Charlotte Mason’s works on all things nature study and out-of-doors life together and we encourage nature journaling as well. We have a mom’s night out once a month and there are smaller groups within this community that are reading through Charlotte Mason’s original home education series together as well. Cherrydale Wednesdays is a group of Christian families who are committed to encouraging each other in studying and practicing Charlotte Mason’s methods of education.

Our co-op meets in Arlington, Virginia twice monthly during the school year. Subjects covered include (but are not limited to): Shakespeare, Plutarch, Science, Geography, Nature Study, Poetry, Handicrafts, Composer and Artist Study, and Dance.

We explore new areas, as well as visit our favorite spots to observe seasonal changes. We vary activities such as hiking, exploring, and fellowship. We always do a lot of free play! Our group is intended for K-12th graders. We ask that interested families are currently homeschooling children who are at least 5 year old . Younger siblings are welcome.
