Educating Mothers is a robust book discussion group for women ready to approach the work of education with reverence and dedication. All levels of experience are represented and welcome in this growing community, as we apply ourselves to understand and practice Mason's educational method. We meet in the Kendall area, 7PM-10PM on the last Thursday of each month (excluding December) to discuss the assigned reading. This group is open to the public, and does not require a membership or purchase. Please contact us to join our email list and receive reading assignments and meeting details.

Welcome, Mamas! We invite you to come and chat about all things Charlotte, ask questions, share resources, and discuss her volumes.
We meet every second Friday from 7:30-9:30 PM. Moms only, nursing babes welcome.
We read Mason's work with intention every month and gather to listen to how each is grappling with Mason's ideas. Taking turns hosting allows us to connect in comfort and confidentiality.
A greatness of thinking - or magnanimity, according to Mason - seasons our conversation. Essentially, when at odds, we "agree to disagree agreeably." We all homeschool differently and have different backgrounds, but we're committed to coming together to create meaningful, encouraging dialogue that seeks to understand Mason's ideas and one another.
As Mason wrote, education is truly an atmosphere, a discipline and a life. That children are whole persons. That the Holy Spirit is the Divine Teacher & we parents are co-collaborators in their education. That we mothers are being taught by the same means. As we seek to authentically interpret her work, we read with this lens in mind.
Welcome! We can't wait to learn alongside you ♥
This book club will work on a rotation through books on the Charlotte Mason method, some published and sold by Simply Charlotte Mason, and others published by other sources. We will focus on one book at a time to help us learn deeply from the wisdom of the author and each other. Our current book study is:
Parents and Children by Charlotte Mason (Volume 2 of the Original Home Schooling Series)
