The Weekend of Living Ideas is a soulful opportunity for parents and educators from a variety of backgrounds to retreat together as we explore and experience the living ideas that surround the educational philosophy and methods of Charlotte Mason. Reshelving Alexandria co-founder Ambre Sautter will be inspiring you about living books. Other topics include Russian Fine Arts, Mothers As Students, Scheduling, Spanish Poetry, and more! Nancy Kelly will be presenting a special pre-retreat immersion that applies to all ages and plenary sessions on The Cloud of Witness, Admiration, Hope and Love, and High School, as well as a workshop on Plutarch. And special bonus, Kent will be there with his blacksmithing gear! Students 12 and older are invited to register with their parents and nursing children are welcome.
Charlotte Amid Cedars is a reading and discussion group for mothers that wish to delve deeper into the CM Method. We will read Miss Mason's volumes for ourselves, and meet one evening a month for engaging discussion. For the '21-'22 school year we'll read Volume 3: School Education. Charlotte Amid Cedars also offers a Mother's Education Course booklist, immersion lessons, workshops, and Mother Culture outings. This is a brand-new group that I hope will expand to include children in Natural History Club, Literature Club, and Shakespeare Club.

We would love for you to join us!
Welcome, Mamas! We invite you to come and chat about all things Charlotte, ask questions, share resources, and discuss her volumes.
We meet every second Friday from 7:30-9:30 PM. Moms only, nursing babes welcome.
We read Mason's work with intention every month and gather to listen to how each is grappling with Mason's ideas. Taking turns hosting allows us to connect in comfort and confidentiality.
A greatness of thinking - or magnanimity, according to Mason - seasons our conversation. Essentially, when at odds, we "agree to disagree agreeably." We all homeschool differently and have different backgrounds, but we're committed to coming together to create meaningful, encouraging dialogue that seeks to understand Mason's ideas and one another.
As Mason wrote, education is truly an atmosphere, a discipline and a life. That children are whole persons. That the Holy Spirit is the Divine Teacher & we parents are co-collaborators in their education. That we mothers are being taught by the same means. As we seek to authentically interpret her work, we read with this lens in mind.
Welcome! We can't wait to learn alongside you ♥
This is a group for all Charlotte Mason homeschooling parents and students who are in Washington State. This group is centered in the greater Olympia area. All welcome, from brand new to Charlotte Mason ideology to long time learners. This is a place where we can make connections, schedule group activities, and gain insight and resources from each other. Low maintenance and friendly environment!
Fort Smith, AR
I will be moving to the Fort Smith Arkansas area and I am considering starting an in-person book discussion group for Charlotte Mason moms. I would like to read and discuss CM's volumes along with other Charlotte Mason focused books and ideas. Anyone looking for community but not a co-op, moms who are new to CM methods, or moms just wanting to dive deeper into a Charlotte Mason education not only for their kids but for themselves. Maybe we could meet every 4-6 weeks. Meeting places may vary from coffee shops, libraries, parks, etc.
