Sacred Heart Co-op

Growing closer to the Heart of Jesus by exploring Truth, Beauty, and Goodness.

Our year is broken into four terms.
For Fall and Spring Terms we meet at parks for nature study, and include a poet, folk songs, and prayer along with outdoor exploration and play.
During the Winter Terms we meet inside; we bring in our poets biography, and also include picture study, artist study, composer study, and literature. The younger students explore myths and legends and the older students read through Shakespeare.

Each term concludes with a celebratory style book club where families bring food inspired by the book, dress up as characters, and share a favorite part.
Exact subjects may vary by year. There is a small cost to pay for materials, but accommodations can be made if this is a hardship.

We are a family style co-op with children of all ages. We are particularly dedicated to fostering intentional community among Catholic homeschoolers. If you are not Catholic, but are interested in joining please contact us.

Charlotte’s Circle – NoVA

This group was created for Charlotte Mason families to have a nurturing community to grow with - children and moms alike. To help achieve this goal we meet out of doors every Thursday throughout the year at local parks for free play, hikes, sharing of riches, field trips, and more.

As a dedicated homeschooling meetup group in Northern Virginia, we value the strong relationships we've built with our community over the years. It's more than meeting once a week. We seek to do life together.

Mother’s Coffee – NoVA

This group started out as a way for Charlotte Mason educators to meet and connect without children in tow. It was created to have a nurturing community to turn to. This is where we come together, connect, and share in our motherhood journey. To help achieve this goal we meet once a month (alternating AM and PM) at various local coffee shops (AM) or our homes (PM) to discuss various homeschooling topics. It is a place where we can share ideas openly, where we can get messy, agree, or disagree while being respectful of each other.

Anyone want to create a Christian CM group in NE Portland, Oregon?

Hello all,

I recently moved to NE Portland, OR and I am homeschooling mama to 4 kiddos. I feel like we have cut ourselves off from friends but at the same time God kind of took our family and shoved us here...so we are where God wants us. Anyway, I ramble. My point is that I was wondering if there was an interest in creating a Christian CM group in NE Portland Oregon. I was thinking we could meet once a week or if schedules don't work for that we could do twice in a month and do once a week nature study days or something like this. We could cover Artist study, Composer Study, handicrafts, some Bible study, nature study, book club for our kiddos and maybe the moms/dads. Etc.

In Conversation Co-op

We are a Charlotte Mason co-op for families with children ages 0–6. We believe children at this age learn best through play. For that reason, we do not place a premium on academics at this phase, but instead create an atmosphere where joy, wonder, and imagination can flourish. Our days together are full of stories and song, movement and making. This is a place for amateurs in the truest sense - those who learn out of love. Whether you’re new to Charlotte Mason, experimenting with classical ideas, or rediscovering education afresh alongside your children, we invite you to join us.
