We embrace a restful approach to teaching, using Charlotte Mason philosophy and pedagogy. Our mission is to unite homes and classrooms in order to biblically and classically train scholars to recognize, pursue, and declare God’s revealed truth through all that is true, good, and beautiful.

For the 2023-2024 school year, we will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays at a church in Bedford, Texas. We offer classes for children PreK-8th Grade, with plans to continue adding a grade each year until we have a full PreK-12th Grade program.

Charlotte Mason Parents Educational Network

“The people themselves begin to clamour for an education which shall qualify their children for life rather than for earning a living. As a matter of fact, it is the man who has read and thought on many subjects who is, with the necessary training, the most capable whether in handling tools, drawing plans, or keeping books.”

-- Charlotte Mason

We believe that children are whole beings and that it is the top priority of the parent to tend to the child’s whole self; including their education. It is our goal to create a community of learning and support to give our children a whole and abundant education.

We believe that in order to give our children the best education, a s. This investment in time broadens her skills, knowledge and interests. We strive to create a culture of Mothers learning together. This knowledge and these skills, when passed on to our children, will create a brighter world.
We offer community day. These Learning Days are weekly days where we come together to feast on education. Our program is Christ-centered and family centered. Unlike many homeschool education days, CM PEN Learning Days are not drop-off programs. One of the main goals of CM PEN is to be accessible for families of all sizes. We believe that this encourages community, and allows families to be fully integrated in the education process. During our Learning Days we explore a variety of subjects and short lessons, using Charlotte Mason philosophies. Students will be encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas while they are learning with others in their form. This day will be focused on allowing students to form connections with their readings and fellow students. We are a 501c3 organization with a mission to support homeschool families. We also have an online presence and encourage any homeschooling family interested in learning through Charlotte Mason's philosophy to join us. We operate locally in the Low Country of South Carolina.

Duncan, SC

Willow Creek Gathers Co-op

Our co-op is a mother-led co-op of families that are involved to teach and support each other's children and parents. We laugh together, as well as cry together because that's what this group has become, community united and linked like a family.

We are a group in the upstate of SC, meeting in Duncan, to provide a living education, education is the science of relations. We view children as a complete person and teach them with rich curriculum and help them grow with gentle formation of knowledge and character. Charlotte Mason summed up her teaching in three words, beautiful, expansive, and efficient.

Outside of co-op days, we want to 'do life' with each other and connect frequently. In addition, the moms meet regularly for the sake of the children to learn more about the Charlotte Mason method as well as strengthen our bonds. Family nights are also offered as it's vital for the whole family to have a supportive community and socialization.

Homeschooling for the King

We are a small homeschooling group of Christians, together on this journey of raising the next generation for the Lord's work.

We meet every Lord's Day as a house church for worship; but also once or twice throughout the week both formally and informally in the spirit of the early church, sharing our lives, supporting each other in the call of creating healthy, ideas-rich, habit-trained homes and families upon the foundation of Scripture and the principles of Charlotte Mason.

Life-giving Motherhood

"Education is an atmosphere, a discipline, a life." ~ Charlotte Mason
With acknowledgment of this, Life-giving Motherhood was born: a worldwide, online community of sisters in Christ, growing in the philosophy and method of Charlotte Mason in our homes and local churches. Each month is packed with live workshops, habit-formation challenges, mother culture, and a book club reading Miss Mason's volumes.

"We are a community of Gospel-reliant moms, intent on being disciples and disciplers of Christ, who have united to answer the call of raising up the next generation in accordance with God's Word, by cultivating the spiritual disciplines lived out by Christ, and by replacing unproductive habits with life-giving, productivity-boosting habits, which enable us to hone our ability to be watchful, praying gatekeepers of our homes, and ultimately, hear our King say when He returns, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
