We are prayerfully forming a Christian community and an academy of learning for the purpose of discipling, educating, and habit training. Our mission is that our children grow rich in relationships – to God, self, others, ideas, work, and the created world.
“Education is not a subject and does not deal in subjects. It is instead a transfer of a way of life.” G.K. Chesterton

Avonlea Nature School is a new homeschool co-op in Monroe County, Illinois for families seeking a Christian forest school experience for their kindergarten-aged children. We will take a Charlotte Mason approach to these early years, allowing for free play, nature exploration, and gentle learning.
Ambleside School is a Christ-centered, K-8 school committed to providing a Charlotte Mason “living education.” In partnership with the family, we guide and empower each student to think with the mind of Christ and to author a life rich in relationship to God, self, others, ideas, and all of creation.
Gathering interest in future events. My children and I would like to gather with a local community of Christian Charlotte Mason-style parents and students in NE Ohio to do nature walks, discuss books and eventually participate in folk dancing and other creative and pleasant activities, as we explore Truth, Beauty, and Goodness together.
