"Spreading the feast of living ideas together”

FCMC meets around the Montgomery County area and includes the following offerings:

Nature Explorers: Fridays at various parks around MOCO. We learn about God’s world together through nature journaling, object lessons, and exploration.

Mother’s Book Discussion: One Friday each month. Held at a group member’s home, we discuss Charlotte Mason’s works, currently working through Volume 2, Parents and Children.

Seasonal Celebrations: Held in Fall and Spring, we gather at a local church to recite, do a handicraft, play group games, display the children’s favorite creations, and enjoy a meal together.

Field Trips: Taking advantage of the many opportunities nearby, we are planning at least one field trip per term to be held on a separate day from our regular Friday meeting.

Child-Made Museum Event: Held during a regular Friday meeting time in the winter, the children can sign up to create a display and present on their chosen topic. This years theme is “Living History.”

Holiday Handicraft Fair: We will be holding our first ever handicraft fair the beginning of December!

Paideia: Once a month group for students in 4th grade and above. We will be studying Shakespeare, Geography, and life skills together.
