We're looking to build community South of KC in Cass County, Missouri. I'm starting a nature club & a Charlotte Mason book club for moms. I hope to eventually expand with other activities including, book clubs, handicrafts, mother culture, a future coop, etc. as we get more families.

We are a Charlotte Mason inspired community coop. We will be meeting at a local park every other Thursday September through November and then February through the end of April. We will be studying multiple subjects from 10 am- 1 pm. During the lunch hour we will have a book club discussion using one of SCM’s free resources while the kids play. We are a group of Charlotte Mason home educators and students of all ages that meet every Friday at 10am at various trails and parks in the Coeur d’Alene, ID area (and we also have a group that meets in the Spokane, WA area too) to explore nature together. We read through Charlotte Mason’s works on all things nature study and out-of-doors life together and we encourage nature journaling as well. We have a mom’s night out once a month and there are smaller groups within this community that are reading through Charlotte Mason’s original home education series together as well. We are a Charlotte Mason community which seeks to build fellowship and encourage learning with like-minded families using the Charlotte Mason method of education. We are a mom-led group, where each mom takes time studying a subject and then teaching that subject to a group of children ages 7+. Subjects have included folk dancing, Shakespeare, Hymn and Folksong, Recitation, Clay Modeling, Watercolor, Drawing, Beginner French, and more. Each semester (two per school year) brings new or repeat classes. We gather bi-monthy in a local church in the Colorado Springs area. Cost is minimal per family. We are currently closed to new families. If you are wanting to start your own co-op, we'd be happy to meet up and chat about that.
