Charlotte Mason Community of Jackson

Charlotte Mason (-ish) families in Jackson, TN, meeting twice a month for enrichments since 2023. Classes we have offered have included narration, composer, handicrafts, picture study and art, and nature study. Our age ranges span from birth to age 15. Age six and up attends classes while under age six enjoys a quiet growing time with free play, and story time activities.

Join us for a day full of wisdom and encouragement with Nancy Kelly of Sage Parnassus. Together we will dive into what Charlotte Mason said about habits, schedule and atmosphere and how to cooperate with the Holy Spirit to create peace in our homes. Refresh your mind and body as we hike together in the beautiful St. Croix Valley. Be inspired to continue the great work of the education of your children "As Unto the Lord''.

We are a small private lending library in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area with about almost 9,000 books at this time as well as Picture Book Preschool and Wonder Boxes.

In addition to the books themselves, our library has a lot of enrichment opportunities. We have book clubs, a nature club, a handicrafts club, symposium, fellowship for moms, and creative writing classes.

We are proud partners with Biblioguides. All our library patrons have a Biblioguides membership included in their annual fee.

Charlotte Mason Nature Study Days

Please join us for Charlotte Mason Nature Study Days!

We meet at nature places and parks each Friday at 10 am. Each week we focus on a specific nature study topic.

We begin with a nature read aloud that is chosen to "reveal the sort of thing to be seen with curious eyes" and fill us with the desire to make new discoveries. Then, we take a nature walk or hike, nature journal, and work on a handicraft together.

We meet the fourth Wednesday each month for community, prayer, and to discuss various books. They range from fiction to non-fiction, Charlotte Mason volumes, books about CM volumes, books of the Bible, etc. The exact time and location is fluid in order to attempt to accommodate as many schedules as possible.
