Charlotte Mason Soiree
Our focus in Soirée is twofold:
*Being diligent students of the Charlotte Mason philosophy
*Learning how to implement Charlotte Mason’s methods in our modern times
Living Education Lessons
You are warmly invited to participate in my offering, Living Education Lessons, a group mentoring experience. This little community is something unique for women who wish to homeschool using the Charlotte Mason method and live a full life. I believe these things can go hand-in-hand, but sometimes we need thoughtful and unhurried guidance from someone who has gone before – a mentor. I will share about my decades of experience from homeschooling with Charlotte Mason methods, creating an atmosphere of beauty and respect in my home, and nurturing relationships with God, my family, and friends. As a small community, each Season you will find kindred spirits to encourage you, walk beside you, and help keep you moving forward. Hundreds of women over the past few years have participated in these living classes.
Truth, Beauty, Goodness Community
The Truth, Beauty, Goodness Community (TBG) is our long-standing (over 14 years!), beauty-filled offering of a homeschool community built on one particular philosophy of education – that of Charlotte Mason. At different times, we have had all ages in our co-op, only elementary age students, and only high school students. We love to share and encourage others who wish to start learning cooperatives where many hands (teachers) make light work and allow moms to implement the fullness of a Charlotte Mason education.
Visit our webpage for more information and resources that we love to share! Presently, we have a Form 3-6 group (TBG Teens) and a Forms 1-3 group (Spreading the Feast).
Evening of Encouragement (Parents’ Midwest Education Union)
A discussion group for educators to encourage and support each other in our journey to teach. Our readings are from the writings of Charlotte Mason.
PMEU stands for Parents Midwest Education Union and is a name we use to describe this group. It's a play on Charlotte Mason's PNEU - Parents' National Education Union, a resource arm for her schools.
Please email Karla Taber (taber.karla@gmail.com) or Sally Almodovar (sally.almodovar@gmail.com) for more info.
Our group has veteran Charlotte Mason homeschoolers as well as those new to the method - all are welcome! We meet in different homes each month and we take a break over the summer months.
Charlotte Mason Book Group
We read and discuss a Charlotte Mason volume each year, interspersing our reading schedule with Parents' Review articles, fiction, and non-fiction titles. We meet once a month, Monday evenings, in homes or local restaurants around Fort Worth.
Living Education Retreat
The Living Education Retreat (LER) is an annual weekend event that focuses on the philosophy of Charlotte Mason. People from all over the world gather to consider a living education through deep discussions, shared meals, outdoor activities, beautiful worship, and inspiring presentations. This is truly a retreat. We want it to refresh and revive your heart, soul, and mind so we practice the Charlotte Mason philosophy in how we form the retreat by scheduling time for pondering, processing, and playing. It will be July 7-9th, 2022 at Lake Koronis, MN. We are in our 16th year! Charlotte Mason Reading Group (Susquehanna Valley Homeschoolers)
We are a group of parents who meet monthly at Panera in Selinsgrove, PA to read and discuss Charlotte Mason's volumes. New members are always welcome.
Cross Creek Cottage
We are a CM community located in Searcy, AR. We are a 501c3 and have volunteer and independent contract teachers teaching CM subjects. Classes and schedule vary with each term. We meet about 16-20 weeks per year once, twice, or three times per week. We host 2 nature hikes per month in Fall and Spring. Our signature classes that we have most every term are: Shakespeare, Ballet, Folk Dancing, and Liaterature. Our aim is to create the best possible atmosphere for kids to learn and for “Cottage” day to be every kid’s favorite day of the week. We also regularly hold CM Volume study groups for parents as well as the Natural State Charlotte Mason Retreat.
Southeast NH Area Charlotte Mason Discussion Group
Welcome to our little local corner of encouragement for homeschooling moms in the southeast NH area who seek to implement Charlotte Mason's ideas in their homeschools. Come join us every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm to discuss and grow together! Please let me know if you'd like to join us.
Charlotte’s Table Co-op
We are a group of CM families who have been gathering and growing since 2017 in the Treasure Valley (aka, the metropolis of Boise, Idaho). Our co-op is for Year 0 to High School, and we meet at a local church on Thursdays (with the 4th Thu off) from Sep-Nov for a Fall Term, and Feb-Apr for a Spring Term. Our Winter Sabbath Season of Dec-Jan includes optional gatherings. We also host events on our co-op calendar for families, just moms, and social / game nights for our middle and high school students. These build community, foster relationships, and provide fun memories!
Our class subjects vary by Form, but we focus on classes that either:
A) are beneficial when done in larger groups (think folk dancing for the younger years, or Shakespeare for the older years)
or, B) are difficult for mom to implement at home by herself, are difficult to be consistent with, or might fall off the edge of Mom's very full plate, because, LIFE! (think Scouting for the younger years, or Citizenship for the older years)
Our co-op runs from 12:45 pm - 3 pm for Year 0-Form 2 students, with an additional half hour of classes for our Form 3+ students (ending their day at 3:30 pm). Families often stay after co-op for unstructured outdoor play and mom fellowship.
We are NOT the Charlotte Mason police when it comes to your family's home education, and our members use a variety of CM curriculums on their own. However, we ARE a Protestant, CM group. We strive to have Biblical co-op policies and to ensure our classes are planned and implemented according to CM's 20 Principles and the educational philosophy espoused in her six volumes. If you're a seasoned CM homeschooler, we welcome you! If you're new to CM, we welcome you! Our goal is to have a strong, supportive community where we can encourage and learn from one another.
We will be hosting an Open House in the Spring of 2026 for the upcoming school year, and we'd love to meet you! Please contact us through email for more information, and to inquire if our co-op would be a good fit for your family.
All the best,
the 2026-27 Charlotte's Table Co-op Board Members
Erin D, Erin T, Jess, Kathy
