Sacred Heart Co-op

Growing closer to the Heart of Jesus by exploring Truth, Beauty, and Goodness.

Our year is broken into four terms.
For Fall and Spring Terms we meet at parks for nature study, and include a poet, folk songs, and prayer along with outdoor exploration and play.
During the Winter Terms we meet inside; we bring in our poets biography, and also include picture study, artist study, composer study, and literature. The younger students explore myths and legends and the older students read through Shakespeare.

Each term concludes with a celebratory style book club where families bring food inspired by the book, dress up as characters, and share a favorite part.
Exact subjects may vary by year. There is a small cost to pay for materials, but accommodations can be made if this is a hardship.

We are a family style co-op with children of all ages. We are particularly dedicated to fostering intentional community among Catholic homeschoolers. If you are not Catholic, but are interested in joining please contact us.

Lithia Nature Play

Charlotte Mason inspired Nature Play Group - Forming Spring 2026

I'm gathering interest for a CM inspired nature play group in the Lithia, Valrico, and Riverview area or Tampa Bay. Aiming to begin in Spring 2026 (possibly earlier if there is enough interest).

The group welcomes all ages, with a focus on children in K - 6th grade. We will meet on Fridays to spend time outdoors, play, and build community.

Our weekly rhythm will include:
- Outdoor park meetups and free play
- Exposure to some of the "riches" (rotated and planned by families)
- Nature study and time in God's creation
- Occassional field trips, depending on group interest

Interested group members must agree to the following:
- Active group participation, attending at least twice per month
- Plan or host one of our meetups each semester
- No sharing our group events or adding outside members before they have been vetted, this ensures group safety and comfort, which is of utmost importance.

My sincere hope is that this group flourishes into something beyond just a play group, but a true group of friends and support. To facilitate this, I would ideally like to keep the group at a manageable size, and with familes who can commit to being consistent so we can form deep and lasting friendships.

If this resonates with you and you are in the Lithia, Valrico, Riverview area (or okay with driving to the area) please connect with me!

Cottage Co-op

Cottage Co-op is a riches co-op for students aged 6 to 12 years old.

Our Friday meetings begin with gathering all together as families for
our folk song and hymn, announcements, and benediction.

Forms 1 & 2 enjoy time in Collective learning about a classic poet, artist,
and composer. Forms 1 & 2 also alternate weekly between nature study
or handicrafts. Both forms then end their co-op day with a game time
devoted to play, listening skills, and folk dances.

A typical Kinderleben class spends the first portion playing outside
making mud pies, rolling around in leaves, and searching for the largest
worms. We come inside to read stories and poems, recite a bible verse,
and learn new fingerplays. We might play with wooden train tracks or
clay, or practice sewing before all working together to clean up.
