A Rich Inheritance

A Rich Inheritance is a community rooted in the educational principles of Charlotte Mason. We believe the purpose of education is to prepare children to be able to know, glorify, and enjoy God by putting them in touch with the truth, goodness, and beauty of His created world. We currently offer a Nature Club on Tuesdays and Mother's Charlotte Mason Book Club on the second Thursday of every month. We currently have children 5 and under attending the nature club but open to older students joining in.

Lithia Nature Play

Charlotte Mason inspired Nature Play Group - Forming Spring 2026

I'm gathering interest for a CM inspired nature play group in the Lithia, Valrico, and Riverview area or Tampa Bay. Aiming to begin in Spring 2026 (possibly earlier if there is enough interest).

The group welcomes all ages, with a focus on children in K - 6th grade. We will meet on Fridays to spend time outdoors, play, and build community.

Our weekly rhythm will include:
- Outdoor park meetups and free play
- Exposure to some of the "riches" (rotated and planned by families)
- Nature study and time in God's creation
- Occassional field trips, depending on group interest

Interested group members must agree to the following:
- Active group participation, attending at least twice per month
- Plan or host one of our meetups each semester
- No sharing our group events or adding outside members before they have been vetted, this ensures group safety and comfort, which is of utmost importance.

My sincere hope is that this group flourishes into something beyond just a play group, but a true group of friends and support. To facilitate this, I would ideally like to keep the group at a manageable size, and with familes who can commit to being consistent so we can form deep and lasting friendships.

If this resonates with you and you are in the Lithia, Valrico, Riverview area (or okay with driving to the area) please connect with me!

His Image, His Earth: A Charlotte Mason Co-Op

We strive to cultivate a rich, close-knit community where Christian homeschool families can share fellowship, encourage each other as we train our children according to God’s Word, and carry one another’s burdens.
We follow the Charlotte Mason philosophy and method, where we view education as “an atmosphere, a discipline, a life” as we study the riches during our weekly meetings.

Cost: $40 for the first student, $25 for each additional student (oldest student must be 6 years or older).

We do have a cap of 12 families, so we may be full, but please reach out, we'd love to hear from you!

Charlotte Mason NorCal

CM NorCal was formerly called CM West. Given the growth of the CM Community on the West Coast, we decided it was time for a new name and a smaller regional focus. Our commitment to encouraging growth and fostering community continues and we look forward to meeting you at an event in the near future.

We host single-day events for educators to meet new people and explore the riches of a Mason education. We offer encouragement for local groups and connect with others to help form or grow your group and learn from other communities. We plan to offer educational retreats and overnight retreats to help educators delve more deeply into Mason’s principles and practices.

Please join our mailing list so you will be notified about our next event!

Roots & Wings

At Roots & Wings, we nurture wonder, wisdom, and wholehearted learning in a peaceful, home-based setting. Inspired by the Charlotte Mason philosophy, this two-day co-op offers young children a gentle and rich introduction to learning through living books, habit formation, music, nature play, and hands-on exploration. This Fall 2025 we will be starting a Preschool/Kindergarten Group. Not to mention a Parent Reading Group.
