We are a Charlotte Mason community which seeks to build fellowship and encourage learning with like-minded families using the Charlotte Mason method of education. We are a mom-led group, where each mom takes time studying a subject and then teaching that subject to a group of children ages 7+. Subjects have included folk dancing, Shakespeare, Hymn and Folksong, Recitation, Clay Modeling, Watercolor, Drawing, Beginner French, and more. Each semester (two per school year) brings new or repeat classes. We gather bi-monthy in a local church in the Colorado Springs area. Cost is minimal per family.
Find us on FB at Charlotte Mason Homeschoolers of the SC Upstate. Mamas meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 7pm to read and discuss CM’s Original Series; book club families are invited to join monthly group nature studies. Visitors always welcome to the book group, and the FB page is also a lovely place to connect with local families pursuing a CM way of life. Group has existed and grown since January 2016!
The Southern Maryland Discussion Group is using the "Start Here" study guide by Brandy Vencel, which covers each of Charlotte Mason's 20 principles. We meet in Huntingtown, MD.

Trellis is a North-Central NJ Charlotte Mason community that exists to support parents and develope relationships between homeschooling families interested in learning and growing in the life-giving, relational principles and methods laid out by Charlotte Mason.
Trellis was prayerfully established in order to provide the fellowship, encouragement, and support needed for homeschooling parents to provide their children with an education in their home environment based on the gospel-centered, Charlotte Mason philosophy and method. Being so prayerfully established, the Trellis community continues to thrive by God's guidance through prayer and His truth as revealed in the Holy Bible. We seek to support current and prospective homeschooling families by providing opportunities for parents and their children to build relationships and grow in their delight of learning together.
We are made up of families from Essex, Bergen, Morris, Union, and Middlesex counties of NJ, and currently are accepting mothers into our book discussion group- this Fall 2021 we are beginning and reading through Volume 2: Parents and Children. We welcome people of all faith, educational, and cultural backgrounds, while at the same time putting forth the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, as revealed in the scriptures, which is the truth upon which Charlotte Mason based her philosophy and method.

We read Mason's work with intention every month and gather to listen to how each is grappling with Mason's ideas. Taking turns hosting allows us to connect in comfort and confidentiality.
A greatness of thinking - or magnanimity, according to Mason - seasons our conversation. Essentially, when at odds, we "agree to disagree agreeably." We all homeschool differently and have different backgrounds, but we're committed to coming together to create meaningful, encouraging dialogue that seeks to understand Mason's ideas and one another.
As Mason wrote, education is truly an atmosphere, a discipline and a life. That children are whole persons. That the Holy Spirit is the Divine Teacher & we parents are co-collaborators in their education. That we mothers are being taught by the same means. As we seek to authentically interpret her work, we read with this lens in mind.
Welcome! We can't wait to learn alongside you ♥
