Out-of-Doors Nature Club

We are a small structured nature group in St. Augustine, FL. Our meetings are bi-weekly (every other week) at the moment but some have expressed interest in meeting more often. We pick a special topic each term and meet-ups start with a short, casual lesson on the topic before exploring and adding to our nature notebooks. Option to stay after for lunch and free play. There are a few optional nature notebook supplies recommended and a small supplies fee. We meet both at my house and various parks in the St. Augustine area.

We are also looking to start a more formal one-day-a-week enrichment co-op using the Simply Charlotte Mason Together curriculum at the start of 2026. If you are interested in teaching one of the enrichment subjects, please let us know which subject (peruse the SCM Together curriculum on their website for subjects). We are happy to run a monthly Charlotte Mason book group concurrently so we can all learn the Mason philosophy and how to best implement it.

All ages welcome for the Nature Club and co-op.

Abundant Feast Community (Mama Book Club, Co-op, & Natural History Club)

A community of families pursuing the true and good life through a CM lifestyle and education. Our community is centered on our Mama Book Club which meets monthly to discuss and grow through CM writings and conferences. Our co-op is not “enrichment” but features the parts of the CM feast best done in community and often overlooked in the hustle of normal life. Our Natural History Club meets to explore local natural areas through hikes, object lessons, physical geography, and field trips. Applications are open on a rolling basis and admission is available between each term if spaces are available.

Novato, CA

Charlotte Mason group

There are a few families in our area that homeschool with a Charlotte Mason method of education. We read Charlotte Mason's volumes and try to implement her gracious philosophy of education into our homes. We also have a local nature club, handicraft market, Shakespeare group, and Mother Culture book group, open to all homeschool families whether Charlotte Mason style or not. We hope to grow in our understanding of her philosophy and method of education and our hearts and minds are shaped by the feast of ideas through living books.

Treasure Valley Charlotte Mason Community (TVCMC)

The Treasure Valley Charlotte Mason Community is a private Facebook group for anyone who is currently using CM educational philosophy in their homeschool AND for those who are just beginning, and even just curious about the Charlotte Mason Method. We accept all faiths and backgrounds, you don't have to be a member of any faith, or a specific church, to join and participate <3 As a heads up, leadership will openly speak about their Christian faith and other members may as well, but *ALL* are welcome! Our events run March - November, and we take a Sabbath break December - February, to give our families time to slow down and our TVCMC Committee time to plan the upcoming year. There are monthly: 1st Friday Nature Journaling, 2nd Tuesday Park Days, 3rd Wednesday Coffee & Conversations (parents only - both philosophical and practical CM conversations!), and we aim for monthly Field Trips (typically on the 3rd or 4th Friday, but that's subject to be flexible as it depends on the venue). We also host an annual CM 101 Event (please see separate CMIC entry) for interested or new to CM homeschoolers. Local CM co-op(s), nature groups, hiking groups, and other groups of interest are encouraged to post and set up events when they have Open Houses / Info Nights. Registrations for the upcoming school year typically occur during April / May, prior to a new school year starting, so please look for those in the spring! Our Facebook page is a great place to connect with local CM families and get plugged in. We also have multiple CM book clubs reading through her volumes, and we always support and encourage parents to join, or start one. If you need assistance with that, please post a question, or send a pm to an admin. If you'd like more information, even if you're not on social media, please email us at TVCMC.contact@gmail.com
