We are a group for those interested in the teachings and philosophy of Charlotte Mason. We read books by Charlotte Mason or about Charlotte Mason and discuss how to apply her ideas to our lives. Charlotte Mason Discussion Group

Join us as we read through A Thinking Love by Charlotte Mason/Karen Glass. We will read 2-3 readings (They are very short) a month and meet to discuss it on the second Saturday of the month. Open to anyone! This is an ongoing group. We have been meeting since June 2023. We meet all year long. We also have a Facebook group that you can join with all our upcoming event dates with assigned readings.

Sophia Society

We are the Sophia Society for the Convivial Study of Pedagogy. This book discussion group is for the classical Charlotte Mason mother who takes her work seriously and herself lightly.

This spring 2026 we are reading and discussing "Poetic Knowledge" by James Taylor and "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens.

We communicate daily using the GroupMe app and also meet in person several times a month for book discussions, homeschool planner sessions, and social events. We've also started a private weekly co-op aligned with the Ambleside Online curriculum.
