CORE VALUES & BELIEFS
To nurture spiritual and creative growth that enriches the family through community, living education, creativity, entrepreneurship, and stewardship. These five goals and outcomes are the heartbeat of what we value and will pursue as we move forward.
Community: Cultivate and nurture a Christ-Centered Community to live in harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus. So that together we may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with one voice. (Romans 15:5-7)
Living Education: To enrich the family and home culture by pursuing knowledge, wisdom, and understanding through scripture, hymns, and the goodness and beauty of creation using a Charlotte Mason philosophy. (Colossians 3:15-17, Ecclesiastes 7:7)
Creativity: To grow creatively, realizing that we possess the creator's creativity and, through Christ's transforming power, will be fully equipped to be molded into our purpose to glorify God. (Genesis 1:27, Isaiah 64:8, 2 Timothy 2:21)
Entrepreneurship: Encouraging families to use ingenuity and imagination to tangibly pursue God-given giftings in every season of life and to model purposefully committing all our work to the Lord. (Proverbs 16:3, Colossians 3:23, Proverbs 3:5-6)
Stewardship: Stewarding our time, talent, and finances to further the mission to preserve the family and live out our lives in a meaningful and intentional way that is pleasing to the Lord. (1 Peter 4:10, Ephesians 2:10 Ephesians 5:8-10)

What We Believe
GOD
One God eternally exists in three equally divine persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is the fully active power of God at work in the world today.
HUMANITY
Humanity is God's crowning work in creation. Purposed to primarily glorify God by representing him on earth and living in a relationship with him and others.
THE BIBLE
The Bible is wholly authentic, inspired, entirely trustworthy, and without error in the original writings...the Bible is the revealed word of God...
JESUS
Jesus, the Son, was born of a virgin and came to earth because of God's love for humanity...our example and victorious King.
SALVATION
Salvation is God's gift of redemption for His church. It is the free gift of grace received by faith alone in Jesus Christ...
GOSPEL
The Gospel is the good news that God...sent Jesus...to live, die, and be raised in our place for the punishment of our sins...so that...we are reconciled to God...
THE CHURCH
The Church is God's chosen instrument to bring His Gospel to every man, woman, and child. There is one church of which Jesus Christ is the head…

I envision beginning with a fortnightly nature study/walk to let our children delight in the wonder and beauty of creation. I’d also like to offer a monthly meet up for mums to read through Charlotte’s volumes or other related material.

We meet once a month to discuss a few chapters of one of Charlotte Mason's volumes. We take one year to discuss each book.

Charlotte Mason Book Club
Our group begins reading through one of Mason’s volumes each summer. Parents and children meet at my home in Greenville Texas, bi-weekly. Children play outdoors while parents (and babies) stay inside to discuss the chapters.
During the school year, we transition to a parents-only monthly meeting, in the evenings, to finish the volume.
Readings are split up and assigned at the beginning of the summer. Feel free to jump in any time.

This moms book club is starting by reading through Mind to Mind by CM & Karen Glass. We are meeting Thursday evenings in the home of one of the members to build our understanding of CM philosophy & create a stronger homeschool community. Charlotte Mason Book Discussion, In Vital Harmony
Connect with likeminded mom's as we discuss the book, In Vital Harmony by Karen Glass. We will meet Tuesday, May 23rd & June 6th at 6:30 p.m. in Weaverville, N.C. The goal of the discussion will be to gain a deeper understanding of the philosophy of a Charlotte Mason education for our children and ourselves. She described her approach to education as, “Education is an atmosphere, a discipline, a life.” Members will purchase the book to read and are encouraged to take notes or jot down questions to bring to the discussion. During the meeting, we will take turns sharing our thoughts about the book, what we learned, and how we related to the material.

Wise and Wonderful Homeschool Community
We are a co-op that meets for 12 week terms in the fall and spring. We are a community of supportive homeschool families committed to discipling our children & educating the whole person in what is good, beautiful and true. Following the Charlotte Mason philosophy of education, we seek to offer a feast of ideas and activities to help our children form relationships with God, self, and the universe.
