We are a group of CM educators who meet on the first Tuesday of the month to discuss a selection from a Charlotte Mason volume. We enjoy fellowship with one another during and outside of book discussion.

Sophia Society

We are the Sophia Society for the Convivial Study of Pedagogy. This book discussion group is for the classical Charlotte Mason mother who takes her work seriously and herself lightly.

This spring 2026 we are reading and discussing "Poetic Knowledge" by James Taylor and "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens.

We communicate daily using the GroupMe app and also meet in person several times a month for book discussions, homeschool planner sessions, and social events. We've also started a private weekly co-op aligned with the Ambleside Online curriculum.
