CM Book Club/Discussion Group

Hi there! I am hoping to connect with other CM mother-teachers in the area by creating a CM book club/discussion group that will meet once a month.

Concord, CA

Charlotte Mason Mother’s Club

We exist to bring CM mamas in the East Bay Area together. We create place of connection here in the East Bay Area for mamas who want to build an Atmosphere, a Discipline and a Life of learning in her home, who want to grow and learn together, and sometimes just need the support and encouragement of others who understand the joys and trials of this CM life.

The mother's of the Charlotte Mason Mother's Club meet together quarterly for a time of fellowship, discussion, refreshment and learning. We are working to create other groups for mothers to get together (such as book clubs), and times of nature study (for families).

Welcome ~ hope you’ll join us!

For any questions or for more information on how to join a meeting, please request information for the group. You can also find us on Facebook and Instagram.

CM Parent Support Group

I am hoping to start a support group for parents using CM methods. I would like this group to study the CM volumes, help each other out with ideas and prayer, enjoy some mother culture, etc. Eventually, I would love to extend/create a group to include a CM co-op for the children that we love so dearly, as well.

They range from fiction to non-fiction, Charlotte Mason volumes, books about CM volumes, books of the Bible, etc. The exact time and location is fluid in order to attempt to accommodate as many schedules as possible.

Sophia Society

We are the Sophia Society for the Convivial Study of Pedagogy (with Tea). This book discussion group is for the classical Charlotte Mason mother who takes her work seriously and herself lightly.

We invite you to join us in reading and discussing "Know and Tell: The Art of Narration." Author and homeschool mother Karen Glass shares an immensely practical survey of Mason’s central educative method. Amply illustrated by real-life narrations from students of all ages and abilities, as well as helpful charts and lists, this book is both a wonderful introduction and an invigorating review, to get us ready for a new school year.
