Junior Naturalists (Leadership Program for Budding Naturalists)

High schoolers interested in participating in Budding Naturalists must apply to the Junior Naturalists program.

Junior Naturalists should have a high interest and passion for natural history and conservation, as well as the desire and ability to help lead this club. They should be youth of high character and leadership who are comfortable interacting with younger children. Junior Naturalists will need to do additional research/preparation time outside of club time. This should not exceed an hour a month if they are also continuing to incorporate special studies/natural history readings, field work, and nature study into their schooling. Assistance and direction will be provided!

*Junior Naturalists can list this experience as an extracurricular and leadership experience on their HS transcript, and put their hours in this club towards a variety of courses for high school credit. This may be of particular interest to those going into a science or agriculture field of study.*
