Charlotte Mason New England
We are a growing network of faith-based educators in the New England states using Charlotte Mason's principles of education in our homes, families, and co-ops. We closely follow the principles of timeless, literature-based education outlined in Charlotte Mason's book Toward a Philosophy of Education.
We exist to provide expanded fellowship opportunities for Christian Charlotte Mason teachers, schools, and co-ops in New England. Our goal is to help local Charlotte Mason families and co-ops find one another and have more opportunities for local connection and group activities.
We use Discord to help members find and connect to one another, for the purpose of coordinating in-person activities while also providing fellowship to mothers who cannot access community as readily, whether due to location or stage of life. We are hosting a four week Summer Mothers' Education Course (2025), and will be reading through Mind to Mind (Karen Glass) together over the 2025-2026 school year. Our Discord server is also evolving to provide teen connection (with parental supervision) for teens who want to talk about books (and probably other things). Our community is growing, but we have members in all New England states.
We host local Charlotte Mason conferences, facilitate an annual mothers' dinner, and are working to create a collaborative annual Year-End program at the end of each school year, hoping to honor graduates as we have them. Past conferences have included "Meet Charlotte Mason" (2024) and "Morning Time" with Cindy Rollins (2025).
We welcome families, mothers of homeschool graduates, up-and-coming homeschool mothers, co-op leaders, and anyone else looking for connection with other Charlotte Mason families and co-ops in the New England states.
Living Roots Charlotte Mason Co-Op
We are a Christ-centered Charlotte Mason co-op committed to nurturing both the hearts and minds of our children through living ideas, meaningful relationships, and shared community. Rooted in Mason’s principles and the belief that children are born persons, we gather weekly to learn together, grow in character, and encourage one another in the joyful work of home education. Our group focuses on enrichment subjects such as Hymns, Folksongs, Picture Study, Poetry, Recitation, and more, all while pursuing truth, beauty, and goodness in both curriculum and community life.

Inspired by Charlotte Mason
Our Mission:
Arrows of Heritage Homeschool Group exists to equip and inspire families in their homeschooling journey by providing a Christ-centered, community-driven environment where children grow in faith, knowledge, and character. Inspired by the Charlotte Mason philosophy, we emphasize ideas and concepts that inspire critical thinking and personal growth, fostering a love for learning through living books. We also encourage spiritual growth by integrating Scripture study, prayer, habit training, nature study, service, and gratitude, while fostering character development and reflecting God's presence in daily life. In doing so, we are raising and educating children in faith, wisdom, and purpose, honoring Psalm 127:3-5.
Our Purpose:
This group is a shared interest community, founded by a homeschooling mother, committed to supporting families on the rewarding yet challenging path of homeschooling, inspired by the Charlotte Mason philosophy. We emphasize high-quality, engaging lessons within a supportive, faith-centered community that values learning and fellowship. While homeschooling is central to many families, it is a demanding task that requires a community to encourage and exemplify what day-to-day at-home education can look like. Whether large or small, families often have one parent teaching and guiding each child in a home setting. The beauty of the Charlotte Mason approach is its shorter, focused lessons that maintain children's attention and prioritize quality over quantity in learning. Our group, rooted in faith and the call to raise children in the way of the Lord, offers a family-style learning environment. This group has been organized as a model to encourage at-home education

Charlotte Mason NorCal
CM NorCal was formerly called CM West. Given the growth of the CM Community on the West Coast, we decided it was time for a new name and a smaller regional focus. Our commitment to encouraging growth and fostering community continues and we look forward to meeting you at an event in the near future.
We host single-day events for educators to meet new people and explore the riches of a Mason education. We offer encouragement for local groups and connect with others to help form or grow your group and learn from other communities. We plan to offer educational retreats and overnight retreats to help educators delve more deeply into Mason’s principles and practices.
Please join our mailing list so you will be notified about our next event!

At Roots & Wings, we nurture wonder, wisdom, and wholehearted learning in a peaceful, home-based setting.
